Once a year, it's a good idea to go through your closets and clean them of any unwanted, or unused items. Many things can be donated, but others can be repurposed. A common practice is cutting jeans into shorts or adding style to old t-shirts with a pair of scissors. If you're not interested in that, take them to Salvation Army or Goodwill. Although neither place will re-sell defective clothes, they will send them to recycle the materials, rather than be thrown into a landfill.
